PARC Field Day 2008

Where:   OK Ward Park,  on Quinn Road.

When:  June 28 Saturday,  official start at 12 Noon, but several hours of Antenna, and Rig setup is required.
Ends at noon to June 29 Sunday, but again some time is required for take down. we will need all the
assistance we can get. Lots to do, and little time to do it.   Want to HELP , show up by 10 AM.

Who's invited:   Everyone!!  that's you.   Everyone's welcome, PLEASE ATTEND

This year we are going to try something new, a digital (RTTY/PSK31) station, dedicated to
introducing keyboard orientated contesting.  A good chance to try digital contesting.

We will also have the SSB station,  where the old heads can work the pile-ups, but it will
be avaiable for the new guys,  just ask, the old guys will give you some tips and turn you lose  !

Everyone is invited to attend, and encouraged to operate the radios.  If you have interest in learning about
HF Amateur Radio, this is the event you should attend.

The stations will use computer logging programs, for dupe checking and scoring.  This has always been fun
and is a good introduction for those who may not have prior experience with integrating computers into
               the ham environment.

Emergency power will be provided by generators.  We have permission to operate the generators all night, and
we are investigating the possibility of alternative power to qualify for the extra points for the contest.

Extra points are available for various things, among them is sending a message to the Section Manager in Boise.
If the first link is via a radio link, we are allowed to send an email to qualify for those points.

In addition to the operating activities, an evening meal is planned for Saturday evening,
               starting at 6:00 PM.

                    The menu will include:
